Founder
Wolff Shipp, our founder and eastern North Carolina insurance specialist, began his career in the insurance industry in 2015, working with well-known companies like State Farm, Geico, Progressive, Allstate, Nationwide, National General, The Hartford, and Travelers. Over the years, he has developed a deep expertise in coastal North Carolina home and auto insurance and has become highly skilled in ACA under-65 health insurance. Wolff has helped clients across North Carolina, from the Raleigh/Durham area to the borders of Virginia, Tennessee, and South Carolina.
Experience
After many years of working for other North Carolina insurance agencies, Wolff took a bold step in 2022 to create Cold Mountain Insurance. His vision was to serve North Carolinians with a more personalized approach. As Wolff puts it, “We will never grow so big that you lose the personal touch of having an agent who knows you and your story.” Our agents take the time to get to know you and are committed to being there when you need us most.

Daniel Messier is our central North Carolina insurance expert. A resident of the Fayetteville/Raleigh/Durham area, and owner of Sentry Insurance Advisors LTD, Daniel has a wealth of insurance knowledge and experience to serve clients all accross North Carolina!
Experience
Daniel honed his insurance expertise while working for a major insurance company in North Carolina. Daniel became the number 3 ranked agent in Life, Health, and Property & Casualty insurance production in the state. Daniel accomplished this honor by focusing on serving and not selling.
Life is a journey with inherent risks. To help each family mitigate loss, Daniel enjoys taking the time to listen to your concerns and tailors a plan to best suit your family’s unique situation and needs.
What's Important
Daniel spends his free time with his close group of friends and family. He appreciates reading literature on finance and biology, with a focus on developmental genetics and embryology. However, Daniel is no stranger to sitting in a coffee shop with a good book, smoking a cigar, enjoying an aged whiskey/bourbon, and sometimes vegging out on the couch with Netflix. Whenever possible, Daniel volunteers his time serving the illustrious Father Bill Ramsey out of Fayetteville, NC, to feed and serve the local homeless population.
